Transposed by Mim McCormack 2025. If your Family name appears on this list and they were resident in St Neot at the time of the Ledger contact us to view the appropriate Ledger. Good luck with researching and meeting your Ancestors!
There are seven columns in the chart, Surname, Initial, Title, Address and Date, these five columns are in RED. The next column, Ledger A/C No. 1914/15, in GREEN, records the 1914 and 1915 entries.
These appear in chronological order ONLY up to entry 37. Entries after this have a “?” in the column, if you are researching your family history you will have to look through the ledger to identify where these are.
The 1914 ones are before the 1915 ones.
If “& Others” appears in the column it signifies that more than one entry has been made. They are not necessarily adjacent to each other!
In the last column entries appear in BLUE “Ledger A/C No 1916. Again some entries are numbered but only from 1 to 27. If there is a “?” in the column it indicates that the entry is after number 27. If there are multiple records you will see “& Others” written.
There are Family entries, Family Business entries, Council entries, Chapel & Church entries and Mining Company entries.
Churches, Chapels, Mining Companies, different titles & Councils.
